VESevo Smart Technologies, an innovative spin-off company from the University of Naples Federico II, announces a collaboration with Raceyard as Gold Sponsor for the current Formula Student season.
Raceyard is the Formula Student team of Kiel University of Applied Sciences and develops electric racing cars for international Formula Student competitions. Through VESevo’s non-destructive viscoelastic tire analysis, the team will access detailed data on tire behavior, supporting more informed engineering decisions throughout the vehicle development process.
The collaboration focuses on the analysis of tire performance under different operating conditions, allowing Raceyard to measure and compare tire properties in order to improve data correlation, refine setup choices and better understand the influence of tires on overall vehicle behavior.
As tires represent one of the most critical elements in vehicle dynamics, defining the connection between the car and the track, VESevo technology provides detailed information on tire viscoelastic behavior that complements conventional testing, supporting a more structured approach to performance analysis and vehicle development.
VESevo’s technology, already applied across several motorsport and industrial contexts, contributes to Formula Student activities by supporting engineering education through tire analysis and data-driven methodologies.
