TIRES

Compound Characterization and Analysis

Tire performance is strongly influenced by the viscoelastic response of rubber compounds throughout the product lifecycle, also reflecting differences in the production process. VESevo technology enables fast, non-destructive and on-site analysis at different temperatures to monitor material evolution over time and support quality control through repeatable measurements.

In motorsport, repeated, non-destructive viscoelastic analysis helps teams monitor wear, grip and tire performance throughout a race weekend at different temperatures and operating conditions.

Viscoelastic Response Across Different Tire Applications

The graphs compare Storage Modulus and Loss Factor of passenger car, passenger two-wheel, race car and race two-wheel tire compounds over different temperatures. Together, the curves highlight differences in viscoelastic response, in terms of energy dissipation (Tanδ) and elastic stiffness at different temperatures among the materials.

WEAR

Thanks to fast and nondestructive analysis, and to its portability, VESevo allows to follow the evolution of the viscoelastic response of rubber/plastic goods during their whole lifecycle

QUALITY CONTROL

Getting data on viscoelasticity in fast and on-site analysis means having the possibility to monitor the consistency and the repeatability of an industrial production process
